Syllabus

Syllabus for std XI and XII

English

In pursuance of the existing policy of the State Government, a common course in the subject of English has been designed for the learners from English Medium and Non-English Medium Schools.  The course offers opportunities for remediation, consolidation and extension of language skills already learnt.

The course book prescribed by the Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education is Yuvakbharati which has two versions, one for Std. XI and one for Std. XII.  The book is learner centered.  It is designed to emphasize on the role of the learner as an active participant and the role of the teacher as a facilitator.

The course book for eleventh and twelfth has a topical design with clear focus on themes like Self, Family, Society, City, Nation, World, and Universe.  The course integrates these themes and helps to sensitize the students to various issues related to these themes.
